Make Your Own Bass Traps

Make Your Own Homemade Bass Traps. If you are handy with a hammer and saw and you are on a tight budget, here’s a suggestion for you. Build your own bass traps. Use 2X4s for the frame, ¼ inch plywood for the back, and solid foam insulation glued to the plywood. If you want to get really fancy, make the back detachable and build another back, this one out of ½ inch plywood. This you will be able to trap different frequencies when you are mixing down.
