CD Format Resolution Limit

CD Format Resolution Limit. A high sampling rate and a high resolution number is generally a good thing for your studio. However, it is important for you to know that no matter how high you go in the quality of your original recording, the best you can do for the final product is a 16 bit resolution and a 44.1 sampling rate. This is because the standard for CD is exactly that, 16 bit by 44.1 kHz. Your music will always sound better in your studio than it will on your CD player.
